¡Hola! Hello, Premium Language Instruction. Advanced Certified Teacher and Translator with over 20 years experience. 16 years living in Latin America. 10 years online. Domino el español. Let's get started! My interests have always been in language, travel and outdoor sports, but I like learning new completely random things that have nothing to do with my main interests. I like science and wildlife. I was born and raised in New Jersey, in the northeast of the United States of America. I'm probably a bit more excited about language than even my students are. I hope it rubs off on them. I focus on what will work best for my student. Should I speak slowly, quickly, make the subject matter easy or challenging. Importantly, what does the student want from the class. That's what I try to do. I never thought I would become a teacher. Since I was 18 years old I started tutoring and then one after another opportunity came up in which I found myself teaching. I realized that I loved teaching. Since I didn't go through the normal route to get a teaching certificate in college, when I finally did start teaching I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best teacher I could be and to really reach my students. That is how I work. My classes are private, so I try to customize the class for each student and to identify their needs. Mark is patient and listens to me struggle with appropriate clarification of pronunciation or proper grammar that encourages me and eases my path. He uses graphics and reading materials to expand my vocabulary and knowledge of how natives use the language. He is the perfect teaches for me.

This is a great class my 8 yr old loves it and is learning so much. He gets frustrated with himself for not knowing but Mark helps him through it and encourages him to keep going they play games to help him learn and remember what they have gone over.

Totally different from any teacher I've tried before. His method is dynamic and disruptive, real, applied learning from day one. You can tell he genuinely cares about your progress. Highly recommended.
