Hello! My name is Romy, I'm 32 years old, neurobiologist, yoga teacher and a passionate surfer. For the past few years I have been living between The Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Portugal. Here I work as a yoga teacher and I love to surf a lot. Also, I have a Masters degree in Neurobiology. Everything that concerns nature, science or the human body fascinates me. Especially topics about our brain! With years of experience working in a Neuroscience lab you can ask me anything about neurons or I might share some fun facts about our brain. Che tipo di insegnante sono

As a teacher I always try to connect to my students (you in that case). When we connect it will be so much more fun to study language together. Plus, I will have a deeper understanding of your interests and learning style. Everyone learns in a different way! I have lots of energy and enthusiasm for teaching, hopefully this energy transmits to you. Thereby, I'm not afraid to correct. I will be clear, give practical lessons and communicate strongly to where you can improve. Only then you will get the hang of a difficult language like Dutch. Want Nederlands is een hele moeilijke taal. Er zijn veel uitzonderingen en moeilijke klanken zoals de G. Kan jij 'goede morgen' al uitspreken?

Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

My teaching style is quite personal. First, I will try to understand what you find interesting to learn. Then, based on those topics, we will deepen your language skills. Learning a new language can be challenging, so we will take it slow. Starting with basic words, basic sentences and then the more complicated conversation topics. I use apps from time to time, like Google Translate. It will help you to translate from your native language to Dutch and the app can repeat the words for you out loud. Thereby, I will ask you to write your new vocabulary down. First in your native tongue and then in Dutch, so you will keep track of all the lessons learned so far. Zelfstudie hoort er bij! Succes.
