Hello! Lana here, a passionate teacher and a wanderlust-driven soul.
For 12 years, I've immersed myself in the beauty of foreign lands, living, working, and exploring the globe. My insatiable passion for foreign languages and exotic lands has gifted me with an extraordinary tapestry of adventures. I trekked in the Himalayas, starred in a Thai movie, danced salsa in Colombia, and learned the tango in Buenos Aires. I've had the privilege of teaching English and Russian to incredible individuals worldwide, from Mayan children in Mexico to Chinese professors, Thai students, and even feminist Buddhist nuns from Ladakh!

As a dedicated and experienced professional teacher with over 19 years of teaching experience, I believe in the transformative power of learning a foreign language. It's through this process that we not only develop new neural connections in our brains but also expand our humanity.
With a Master's degree in Philology and Pedagogy from Samara State University, I've acquired a comprehensive knowledge base and a deep understanding of effective teaching methodologies. I had the privilege to teach Russian and English courses at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. My teaching approach emphasizes communication, grammar, and language mastery. I understand the challenges of overcoming language learning fears, as I've experienced them myself. That's why I create a supportive and encouraging environment in my classes. I believe in motivating students while holding them accountable for their learning goals.

Lana is an excellent teacher. She always comes to the lessons on time, in good spirits and with excellent content to learn from. She pushes me to challenge myself and is very patient. My Russian has improved dramatically in a short time because of Lana. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their language skills.

As always, Lana is an incredible resource and a fantastic aid to my Russian Language skills. She is always so bright and cheerful and ready to tackle any challenge with a smile (and a laugh!) I never feel discouraged when leaving our lessons and always look forward to working with her again.

Lana is such a great language instructor! She’s fun, very responsible, and knows how to keep her students motivated. She also understands the difficulty of learning a new language, and I was never afraid to ask questions in her class. I highly recommend Lana to any Russian learners!!
