My teaching approach is warm and encouraging. I try to create a relaxed environment and encourage students to try new things and embrace making mistakes in the learning process.
I try to understand each student and provide clear and thorough explanations with examples to ensure that each idea is understood.

Maybe you can find Vietnamese difficult to learn, to pronounce at first. But don’t worry, the more you learn, the more you like it. I have special technics for teaching beginners. We have classes for 1.5 years now and are like good friends. In the lesson I learn not only the language but also the culture of Vietnam. Sometimes the textbook uses somewhat unnatural or bookish language and Pham will offer further explanation and alternative expressions. This makes it all the more valuable.

My 70th class with Yang was great! We studied using a book we suggested and she provided many extra/supplementary explanation not found in the book.
