Hi Everyone, this is Jen, 大家好! I have a bachelor degree in Communication majored in English literature and Journalism as well as an Advanced Diploma in Translation (English -- Chinese Mandarin). I am currently completing my postgraduate law degree in Melbourne, Australia.

Originally from Beijing China, I have gained extensive experience in teaching Chinese Mandarin to Australians in universities, primary schools, kindergartens and various language institutions over the past 8 years. My students have included working professionals like bankers and lawyers, teenagers aged 13-17, children aged 3-12, university students as well as Australian diplomats working in China.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My lessons are highly effective and efficient consisting of a mix of daily conversation, grammatical points as well as a heavy focus on commonly-used sentence patterns, rather than just stand-alone bits and pieces, so that students can pick up the language in no time and be able to communicate from day one.
PLEASE NOTE:
Professional Lessons: I make sure all my students can progress consistently with a very clear and structured curriculum plan.
Informal Tutoring is only for students who have at least a high B1 or B2 level and want to expand their expression and vocabulary as well as improve fluency through natural speed conversation practice.Il mio materiale didattico

Jennifer is best teacher I've had across all metrics, be it sharpness, effectiveness, communication skills and style, enthusiasm, you name it. I could laundry-list all the qualities but my vocabulary is not sufficient. My POV is that of a moderately serious student who likes a mix of structure and spontaneous tangents. I doubt Jennifer would have trouble with any particular student profile, as long as your interest in learning is there.

Wonderful teacher and mentor in the language learning process. Her support is an assets to any language learner who is taking a earnest approach to studying English or Mandarin. She has the intercultural awareness necessary to teach students from western countries. An assets you don't find in many native speaking Mandarin instructors.

I have had dozens of lessons with Jen and have become much more confident in speaking with Mandarin-speaking people ... sometimes surprising myself. I have had other language teachers and have found Jen to be the best. If you’re learning Mandarin the book some lessons with Jen.

Jennifer made me so at ease! I was able to share my goals, and her teaching exceeded my expectations. We came up with a lesson plan for me and I am confident she will help me on my journey to Mandarin immersion. I will be booking lessons around my work schedule. I will encourage anyone to have Jennifer as a teacher.
