I have a background in teaching English. However, for many years, I worked in the fashion industry. I currently live in Milan and am enjoying studying Italian. This experience has reminded me of how important it is to practice a foreign language with native speakers. It has also inspired me to offer myself as a conversational partner for those looking to improve their Russian. I have a wide range of interests, love traveling, and am genuinely interested in other people and cultures.
I find it crucial to perzonalize my classes, adapting them to the needs, interests and moods of my students. My teaching style also includes clear explanations, the ability to motivate, empathy, and a relaxed atmosphere.
I prioritize conversational practice in all my classes, regardless of my students' proficiency level. If you are beyond the beginner stage, I will only speak Russian during our classes, encouraging you to do the same. Together, we’ll work on boosting your confidence and fluency in speaking the new language. Just relax and feel free to make mistakes, because they are an essential part of progress.5.0

Probably stemming from her professional background, Elena's knowledge of the Russian language is palpably deeper then what we've encountered and have been rather underwhelmed with on this platform so far. (saying this as a Russian-speaker myself)

Fantastic lesson, as always :) I've studied many languages and hundreds of hours on Italki over the last ten years, and have rarely have met such an accomplished, kind and dependable teacher as Elena! Highly recommend to any learners looking to speak more Russian.

I have been taking lessons with Elena for a little over a year and am very happy with the progress I’ve made in that time. She plans each lesson thoughtfully, making time for both conversation practice, which helps me practice my speaking and refine my vocabulary, and grammar study, which is the area I’m currently focused on improving in. I appreciate that she also types out corrections for me to reference after our lessons and consistently puts effort into preparing personalized lesson plans. She is a very caring and compassionate teacher and I highly recommend her!
