Welcome to my page!
I’m Alessandra, and I’m originally from Treviglio, a nice town between Bergamo and Milan.
After earning a degree in Communication Sciences and a master's degree in Social Sciences, I worked for a few years in a research center in Milan.
I started teaching Italian in South America, where I lived for more than 10 years. There, I also met my Canadian husband, to whom I have been married for almost 10 years.
We came back to Italy in 2022, and although my home is near Bergamo, I spend most of the year in Sicily.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have more than 10 years of teaching experience, especially with American English speakers.
I love teaching students of all levels, but my focus is on those who already have an intermediate or advanced level and want to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, or fluency.
My degree in Communication and my master's in Sociology gave me the skills to help you not only learn the language but also communicate effectively about a wide variety of topics. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all method. I'm ready to listen to the students' needs and adapt to their goals. I love following a book, but I also design personalized lessons using appropriate materials.
With more advanced students, I also read novels.
Regardless of the level, I always try to place a strong emphasis on oral communication.

Alessandra is helping me with conversation practice before an upcoming vacation. She is very supportive and encouraging, patiently listening to me fumble for words and gently correcting my mistakes. I know that I will be more comfortable speaking with locals during our trip thanks to my lessons with her.
