I’m a passionate ASL (American Sign Language) tutor who believes language connects us beyond words. Quiet by nature but deeply curious, I thrive on helping students build confidence in signing whether for everyday chats or deeper conversations. My love for languages (I also speak English and Spanish!) fuels my teaching, but ASL holds a special place in my heart. I'm all about creating a classroom where you feel respected, encouraged, and free to be your awesome self because that's the kind of space I'd want to learn in too! Oh, and fair warning: I'm a huge fan of mistakes. Like, huge. Messing up means you're bravely trying, and that's where the real magic happens. Welcome to my classroom where we keep it casual, comfortable, and totally voice-free! 🤟
My approach? Think less "teacher" and more "friend who happens to know a lot of ASL." Friends lift each other up, root for each other, and actually get each other. That's the vibe here. Lessons focus on real, everyday conversation because let's be real, that's what you'll actually use!
Oh, and one super important rule: no voice! Keeping class silent isn't just about practice, it's about flipping the switch in your brain into ASL mode. You'll be amazed how quickly it clicks when you're fully immersed.

Great lesson. I have some vocabulary but have very little experience conversing and we were able to have a really fun conversation for an hour. It was so inspiring and encouraging!

We had our first session and I was able to understand everything he said and, if I didn't know a word, he would finger spell it for me. He pushed me but made sure I was still following the conversation. He paid attention to what I was saying and was very patient as I struggled to make my hands say what I wanted. I learned a lot about me level, in that my comprehension level is far beyond my communication level.
