Currently teaching in Queretaro, Mexico, I've also taught in Madrid, Spain, and my home city of Dublin, Ireland. In my conversation classes, I focus on improving fluency and building confidence in using English. I provide error correction in a supportive, encouraging way to help you reach your goals. I choose fun, engaging topics and ensure you do most of the speaking. For exam preparation (IELTS, FCE, CAE), I concentrate on speaking, use of English, and writing, offering helpful vocabulary and materials. I have tried different teachers on Italki. I can tell Declan is one of the best teachers by far. He always brings great materials to the class, helps me to speak as much as possible, and corrects the mistakes right away. I highly recommend his classes.

Declan is a very good teacher, he changes the methods when is necessary (he notices it), he does a good balance between grammar classes and conversation classes, that’s why I’ve been doing English class with him for 4 months and I maintain it every week.
