Agnes Mwaniki

Agnes is really great as a tutor. She's patient and she took my goals into consideration for that and created a custom plan for me! We are making great progress and it's due to her attentiveness to the needs of the student. Thank you :)

Another great Swahili lesson!! She provided an audio recording in Swahili along with the caption. We went over it today in class, and it was so helpful. Finding comprehensible input like this in Swahili can be difficult. It was nice to have quality audio that I can save and practice. She answered all my questions and helped me learn grammar and vocabulary in context. Agnes’ lessons help me grasp concepts quickly and o feel more comfortable with the language every time. I was so pleased that I am scheduling a second Swahili lesson this week in addition to my upcoming Gĩkũyũ lesson. 10/10!!

Agnes kindly answers all my questions, no matter how silly I feel for asking them. Not just about the language at hand but the cultural contexts that come along with it. I’m excited every week to learn what she has planned. She has worked on a curriculum that is functional and helpful, one I’m excited to continue. She provides lots of examples and helps me understand both the formal language and vocabulary and what I am more likely to hear while in Kenya. I greatly appreciate her guidance and wonderful attitude. I’m very glad she is my teacher!!

I had such a great trial lesson with Agnes! She’s super friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start. She explained everything really clearly and kept the lesson relaxed and engaging. I didn’t feel nervous speaking at all, which is rare for me. I’ve already booked more lessons and I’m really looking forward to them. If you’re thinking of learning Swahili, I’d definitely recommend her. 5 stars all around!!!

Today’s Swahili lesson with Agnes left me feeling really encouraged. We built on what I learned last time, and I could tell that things were starting to click more easily. I felt more confident speaking and was able to remember words without overthinking. Agnes explains everything clearly and gives me plenty of time to practise, which makes the lessons feel supportive and engaging. It is great to notice the steady progress from one class to the next, and I’m excited to keep going.

Very good teacher. She quickly adjusted to my level of the language.
