Hello, My name is Carlynne. I am 29 years old and a Native Afrikaans speaker from South Africa. I grew up speaking both Afrikaans and English in my household and I am therefore fluent in both languages. I have a BA degree in Development and Environment and a Postgraduate diploma in Environmental Management from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. As a teacher, I take a student- centered approach to teaching a new language. I want to know what your language goals are and why you want to learn Afrikaans. I focus on teaching all 4 language skills namely: Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading. I use various teaching material to aid your language learning and to build your fluency step by step. My lessons are relaxed, fun and interesting. Mistakes are always welcome in my class because it is through those mistakes that we learn and grow. So do not be afraid to make mistakes.
