My name is Dan, I was born and raised in Israel and I am a native speaker of Hebrew. I live in the Netherlands, where I also completed my master’s degree in linguistics. I just love languages! I learned English, and some Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch (to different levels), so I definitely understand the struggles of learning a new language. I believe that learning a language is mostly speaking it, so I would want you to practice and speak as much as you can during the lesson. I am very patient and kind, and I want you to feel free to make mistakes- this is how you learn! I am open for your requests. I believe that leaning a language should be a fun experience! You can learn Hebrew through conversations about Israel, Israeli culture, food, music and more, or talk about your culture, country and hobbies. The stage is yours, I am here to guide and support you in your language learning journey. I suggest that we start each lesson with a short casual conversation, which is the basic form of communication. Then, we can continue with speaking, reading or writing, according to your needs. I sometimes repeat words and sentences that you say, so you can hear what it sounds, and write in the chat translations to words we learn- so you can get back to it later.Il mio materiale didattico

I have been taking lessons with Dan for half a year now. Dan is my first and only Hebrew teacher on italki. I am satisfied with the lessons. We always have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere in our class. Dan adapts the program to my interests. Thanks to these lessons, I have become much more confident in speaking Hebrew and have improved my vocabulary.

Dan is a language learner himself so he knows all the challenges. The classroom atmosphere is safe and relaxed. He is kind, a great conversationalist and makes you progress in each lesson. I can fully recommend him.
