Hi my name is Mary,
My aim is to help others love Irish the way I do!

My main goal is to make students feel comfortable to challenge themselves but to also make mistakes! I have lots of experience teaching in schools, summer camps and one-to-one classes with students of different levels. I try to incorporate as many different types of learning activities into all my lessons, as everyone learns differently! I understand how hard it can be learning new languages or even brushing up on what you already know. I really look forward to my conversation practice in Irish with Mary. We always have a lively conversation, always on different topics. Today was no different--- very enjoyable. I feel very lucky to have found Mary to practice speaking with. She is definitely helping me to improve my ability to converse in Irish.

Mary was very kind and patient with me. She worked at my pace and asked about my life and family. When writing out the new words and phrases she was teaching me, Mary made sure to put the words’ phonetic spelling as well as the English translation to ensure I understood what I was learning. She was also diligent in having me pronounce each word/phrase multiple times throughout the lesson, which I really loved!

Go hiontach ar fad! I love my conversation practice with Mary every time. We always get into really interesting great conversations. I'm so glad I am able to practice speaking Irish with her. I always feel so good about mo chuid Gaeilge after talking with Mary.
