Ciao! I'm Maria Chiara, nice to meet you :)
☀️ I'm a cheerful girl, full of energy, who works as a videomaker and has a cinema and literature background.
📕 I'm very passionate about language learning. I learned Spanish by "living" it and watching content I liked in that language, just as I am doing with French now, and I enjoy teaching my native language, Italian, following a more fun, free, and challenging approach.
🎭 I love creativity in all its forms: making videos, taking photos, writing, admiring art, getting to know artisans... Anything that is deeply human fascinates me.

I'm very friendly and approachable. I enjoy getting to know my students better and talking about things they also like. I always try to put my students at ease to encourage them to talk as much as possible, even making mistakes, which I correct at the end of the speech in order not to interrupt them and not to confuse them while speaking. I always take note of everything so that we don't lose track of what we do, the mistakes we have to correct, and the things we have to improve. I want studying with me to be enjoyable and for the time we spend together to be constructive both in terms of learning and personal enrichment. My lessons are based on conversation: starting from a theme established with the student or from content provided by me (movie clips, songs, videos, articles), we generate a dialogue during which I am attentive to take note of the student's sentences and key words that come up while speaking. Throughout the conversation, I find moments to pause with the student to explain the mistakes they have made or important words we have identified. At the end of the lesson, I send the student a document on Google Drive summarizing everything we did during our time together, as well as recommendations for audiovisual content they can consume to improve their understanding and speaking of the language.Il mio materiale didattico

My lesson with Maria was the most fun I've had so far on italki, yet she managed to squeeze in a lot of feedback and teaching as well. Her style made it more comfortable to attempt to speak in Italian, which is exactly what I expressed wanting. She listens well, leads a discussion well, and manages to make it all fun along the way! Highly recommended.

Thank you very much for another great lesson. I highly recommend Maria Chiara. She puts a lot of effort into the lessons and after each lesson I receive a document of mistakes, new words, songs to listen to etc. Each time I speak with her I feel myself learning from my mistakes and getting better at the language. She has a great balance between chatting and then after a while giving me direction on how I could improve. Thanks very much.

我非常喜欢她的课程因为上课的时候我们可以像朋友一样交流 她很有趣和她聊天的时候我感到很轻松😌而且课后她还会纠正我的错误 这点做的很好 她是一个非常负责的老师
Mi piace molto la sua classe perché possiamo comunicare come amici in classe. È molto divertente. Mi sento molto rilassato quando chatto con lei. 😌 E correggerà i miei errori dopo la lezione. Questo è molto buono. È un'insegnante molto responsabile.

Maria Chiara is a great teacher! She has helped me a lot in building my confidence in speaking Italian. Our lessons are appropriately challenging to improve my understanding of the language in a way that is always supportive and fun. I always look forward to our lessons and feel a lot more comfortable speaking Italian since I started learning with Maria Chiara. Grazie, Maria Chiara!
