Sawa

This was my first ever attempt at interacting in Japanese and I was really nervous at the beginning. But Sawa Sensei was so understanding and didn't rush me when I was trying to communicate my thoughs! She listened patiently and helped me express what I wanted to say. She is really kind, so the nervousness melted away before I knew it ^^ Now im super excited for the upcoming sessions and look forward to the discussions!

Sawa-san is a really friendly and engaging teacher. What I really like is she gives you the time to think and come up with your own words. Even if you're struggling, it's really helpful to have a teacher that's willing to give you the time to think on your own without resorting back to English. During the lesson, she also helps to correct and rephrase your sentences to sound more natural. I really appreciated her enthusiasm in this first lesson and I look forward to taking even more lessons with her.

I can't believe it's been a year!! My Japanese has improved so much since I've started taking lessons with Sawa-sensei. All the times we enjoyed talking about the differences in culture and playing games together. Even if I was having a really rough week, I always looked forward to the lesson and it brightened up my day. I'm so grateful to have found her not only as a teacher, but also as a friend. Here's to many more lessons!
