I'm a teacher, linguist, guitarist, and singer from Fargo, North Dakota, USA. Since earning my master's degree in English, I have spent 8 years teaching American English and pronunciation both online and in the classroom in Moscow, Russia and Tbilisi, Georgia.
My students include business professionals, singers, actors, and even native English speakers working to reduce regional dialects.

For accent lessons, you'll learn to pronounce words as they're spoken by native speakers and to replicate the intonation and rhythm of American English speech.
Using detailed and illustrated documents, we'll target each sound and aspect of the American English accent. I offer a fully-structured course ranging from pronunciation of vowel sounds and consonants to reductions, linking, intonation and placement. The course will be tailored to your specific needs as I learn more about your accent.
All lessons are interactive and discussion-based. We focus on speaking as much as possible using the new grammar/vocabulary/pronunciation so you'll be comfortable using them outside of the classroom.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
For each new sound, you'll learn proper tongue placement and movement, as well as phonetic skills to help you recognize when to make each sound. We'll work through practice texts while I give targeted feedback on your pronunciation while you're reading aloud, as well as when you're speaking using discussion topics designed to use the sound being practiced. Practice texts, tongue twisters, and audio recordings are included in the course materials, so you will have plenty of opportunity to practice during and between lessons.Il mio materiale didattico

Jesse is friendly and professional, and I’ve noticed a lot of progress from our lessons. I’m from Eastern Europe originally, and Jesse has helped me reduce my native accent. Many of my colleagues have complimented me, which is a big achievement for me. It was challenging to find a tutor specializing in pronunciation who is capable of explaining and training you to sound like an American. I strongly recommend Jesse to everyone who wants to improve their English and sound like a native speaker.
