I live in the UK but I lived in Japan for 10 years.
I am a primary school teacher and an online tutor.
I offer English lessons from beginner to advanced to people from anywhere.
My hobbies are traveling, hiking, gaming, reading, movies, and trying new things.

I'm a fun, relaxed teacher so don't worry about anything 😀
I have an PGCE with QTS (qualified teaching status), MA in English with TEFL, a CELTA and I also hold an N2 qualification in Japanese.
I have 10+ years' experience teaching.
I have taught grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking (including pronunciation) to students all over the world.
I want you to talk more than me, so I will always encourage you to speak as much as you can. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, the more mistakes the better.

The first time we meet, I will do a quick level check and see what your goals are so I can adapt my lessons to suit you.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY
Please notify me 12 hours before the lesson time to cancel/reschedule.
If a student is late or absent , I will wait for only half of the lesson time to pass: (With or without notification) 30-min class (15 mins max) 45-min class (23 mins max) 60-min class (30 mins max)
After half of the lesson goes by, I will leave the communication tool and charge the full price of the class. If you book a class you have automatically agreed to my terms.Il mio materiale didattico

I have learned from more than twenty English teachers from different countries since I began studying English at the age of 10. Among all of them, Gez is the best teacher I’ve ever had. He has excellent teaching skills and a very friendly and patient attitude.
I asked Gez for help when I was having a hard time preparing for the IELTS exam. At the same time, I was also dealing with anxiety, and I felt very nervous when practicing speaking with other teachers. Gez made a big difference. His calm and kind way of teaching helped me feel more relaxed, and he gave me great support in all four parts of the test. In the end, I got a score of 7.0, which was just what I dreamt for.
Gez also helped me write my resume and personal statement. I’m very thankful for everything he has done. I highly recommend him as your English tutor. I believe he can be a great help in your English learning, just like he was for me.

I've returned to Gez after a few months break and had a good lesson reviewing things in the past.
It is reassuring when we take time on a topic and I understand the grammar point more. Would recommend.

Gez is helping me prepare well for my JLPT N4 exam covering all the topics and encouraging variety in sentence making. I can see progress (although I should study more).
His examples are easy to understand when Genki can be a little convaluted.
