With over 3 years of teaching experience in both Spanish and English, I hold an official ELE certification. My teaching journey began with tutoring English and Philosophy to local students, and I've since transitioned to sharing my language with learners online as I travel around Spain.
I guess my students would be the best at defining me as a teacher (you can ask them directly if you'd like, just tell me!), but what I'll say about myself is that I put a lot of importance in making my students feel comfortable, respected and understood. My teaching style is rooted in creating a comfortable, safe and enjoyable environment where students can practice the four skills essential to every language (listening, speaking, reading and writing). I've found on my years of teaching that having a friendly relationship with my students helps a lot with how fast they progress.
Although I'm used to taking a conversational approach to my lessons, I've prepared previous students for grammar exams (A1-C1) and I make sure each session is interactive, encouraging, and adapted to the student specific goals. Whether we're tackling grammar, building vocabulary, or working on pronunciation, my aim is to make our lessons both effective and fun.Il mio materiale didattico

Jose is a fun teacher who adapts to the interest of the student. He utilizes English if needed, but usually he can adapt to the vocabulary needs of the person. He is very kind. A good introduction for people new to this website.

Hoy ha sido mi primera clase de prueba con José Manuel. Gracias a su carisma y profesionalidad, he perdido el miedo a hablar otro idioma. Tiene un gran sentido de las necesidades de los estudiantes y sugirió un gran plan para las próximas lecciones. Definitivamente continuaré las clases con él.

First class went well. José is attentive and is open learning about your goals and objectives with learning Spanish. At the end of the class we took a grammar quiz and was able to give me constructive feedback.

Jose Manuel is a calm patient teacher. He is willing to to adjust his speed of speaking and will slow down for beginners. For more advanced learning his natural speed is fast so you can practice comprehension too. He is flexible with class topics too! I would highly recommend classes with him.
