Hello! I'm Estela, a 35 year-old native Spanish speaker from Alicante, Spain. I started teaching Spanish online here on italki back in 2015. I studied education at university and then I did a Master's Degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I also hold a certificate of DELE and SIELE exam preparation.
I speak English at a C1 level and I'm currently learning Italian.
I enjoy playing video games on my PS5 and Nintendo Switch, watching series and movies, listening to K-pop and I absolutely love my dogs Trufa and Duna ☺.Che tipo di insegnante sono
There are many Spanish teachers on this platform, so this is what makes me different:
- I have a professional studio with a 1080p HD webcam (I use an iMac and FaceTime 1080p camera) with a good microphone + 600mb of optic fiber, that means I have a good and powerful connection.
- I am connected with the student also outside of the classes, as I believe that the relationship with your teacher is very important.
- I am a language leaner myself, I've been learning English for all my life (I'm at and advanced level now) and I'm currently learning Italian, but I also attempted to learn French and Mandarin Chinese in the past.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I offer 3 different types of courses. General Spanish, where we use an online textbook according to your level and extra material in order to complement your learning experience. Then I also offer a conversational course, where the main purpose is to speak & understand Spanish with guided and controlled conversations about different topics, and the last one is DELE & SIELE exam preparation from A1 to C1.Il mio materiale didattico

Estela, you are a fantastic teacher, able to be both academic and personal, comical and theory-expert, depending on the context. One hour sessions fly by as if they were thirty minutes. With your pedagogical education, experience, and ability to engage students, you motivate us not just to "practice", but to speak, to use the target language in whatever form, and to make Spanish a part of our lives.
