During our lesson, I don't think you should take notes. I think the biggest problem with learning languages in high school is that the students are so busy taking notes they forget to listen. Great class from Roland to kick off my Hungarian language learning. He has a lot of random facts regarding rules and history which I love and makes remembering easier. Also he helps making notes so I can focus on listening.
