Hi and welcome to my page!
My name is Jannis, I'm from northern Germany and I live in Cologne with my wife.
I'm currently a language student, but I have worked in construction for the last ten years. You could say I'm a jack of all trades.
My hobbies are sports, reading and music, but most of all learning languages.

Mein Name ist Jannis, ich komme aus dem Norden Deutschlands und lebe mit meiner Frau in Köln.
Ich studiere derzeit Fremdsprachen, habe aber die letzten zehn Jahre auf dem Bau gearbeitet, bin also mit allen Wassern gewaschen.
Meine Hobbies sind der Sport, lesen und die Musik, aber vor allem natürlich Fremdsprachen.

I focus a lot on pronunciation and proper grammar, as I want you to be confident and sound like a native when we're done. That doesn't mean my classes are bone-dry though, as we'll chat about whatever we find interesting. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
Mir ist besonders wichtig, dass ihr eine fehlerfreie Aussprache und gute Grammatik erlernt. Das bedeutet allerdings nicht, dass meine Stunden staubtrocken sind, wir werden einfach über alles reden, was wir interessant finden. I'm very open and friendly, and I know many topics, so I'm sure we'll find common ground very fast. I'll be patiently listening to you and we'll be speaking a lot in general, as that's the best way to reach fluency fast.
