Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! I'm Klara - German native speaker with a passion for Holistic Health, cultural experiences and global adventures. I am really open-minded and tolerant when it comes to different cultures, beliefs and mindsets - I hope so are you. I grew up in East Germany (Thüringen) and graduated later as an occupational therapist. After 1,5 years working in Canada and now traveling between South Africa & Germany - I know how challenging living abroad can be. I find my inspiration outdoors in nature or on the theater stage. I travelled to over 20 countries and I know exactly how intimidating speaking another language can feel. My personal experiences and work in the healthcare sector shaped my teaching: I support you in a holistic way – for travel, everyday life and professional communication. My focus is YOU and your personal goals. I will motivate you, help you reduce insecurities and make speaking German feel safe and achievable. Conversation practice, cultural insights, and a good portion of humor because learning a language should be fun!

My lessons are as individual as you are. Tools and methods adapt to your learning type, preferences & your personal goal(s).
We start with short smalltalk + homework check (if you want that). The main focus is free speaking – this is where real progress happens. While you speak, I take notes on new words, pronunciation and grammar points. At the end we go through everything together & do a short repetition. We work in Google Docs for everything lesson related so you always see your progress.
If you book a trial lesson: please tell me about your goals, motivation + topics you like talking about.

Hervorragender Deutschunterricht mit Klara!
Ich kann Klara als Deutschlehrerin auf Italki uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Ich mache mit ihr enorme Fortschritte und bin absolut begeistert von ihrem Unterricht.
Klara ist stets pünktlich, professionell und sehr engagiert. Man spürt, dass ihr mein Lernerfolg am Herzen liegt und ich lerne in jeder Stunde unglaublich viel dazu. Ihre Flexibilität und ihr Verständnis sind ebenfalls top.
Die Themen sind immer äußerst interessant und abwechslungsreich, was unsere Konversationen sehr bereichernd macht. Es ist toll, dass sie nach den eigenen Interessen fragt und herausfindet, welche Lernmethoden am besten funktionieren. Das macht den Unterricht hochgradig effektiv und persönlich.

Klara is a very dedicated and reliable teacher. She always comes to class well-prepared and on time, and her lessons are both interesting and engaging. She introduces thought-provoking topics and uses a variety of materials that make learning enjoyable and effective.
After each lesson, she creates a file with the new vocabulary, which really helps me review and remember new words. Thanks to her, I’ve discovered many useful resources like german podcasts and articles that support my learning.
Klara is also very kind, creative, and passionate. She creates a friendly atmosphere where I feel comfortable. I’m genuinely thrilled with our lessons and can’t wait for each next class!

Klara is a very professional teacher - always very well prepared, creative and such a great, patient listener. She is excellent at giving me space to speak but also at challenging me with very interesting exercises. She's also amazing at recognising my individual needs as a student. Each class is great fun. I feel relaxed enough to speak freely but I'm also learning a lot through Klara's discussion-oriented approach. I really can't recommend her enough.
