Hello! I'm a passionate language teacher with over 14 years of experience helping students around the world learn English and Spanish. I hold a BA in Modern Languages and a Diploma in Literary Translation. I'm a certified DELE instructor and examiner (Instituto Cervantes) and CELTA-qualified by the University of Cambridge. I love creating engaging, personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals. I strive to create a relaxed, friendly environment where my students feel comfortable and confident. Building a good rapport is key to making lessons enjoyable and effective. I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it—communicating as much as possible with the language you already know, whether you're a beginner or advanced. I use a communicative approach, which means that throughout the lesson we’ll do a variety of activities that encourage you to use the language naturally and confidently. You'll build on what you already know while integrating new vocabulary and structures in context. My lessons are interactive and tailored to your level and goals. We’ll work on all key language skills:

Michelle has been friendly, supportive, and most importantly patient, during our lessons together. She has been incredibly helpful in helping my Spanish speaking skills, as well as my grammar and writing. Michelle is always prepared and responsive to specific learning needs. All of my lessons have been great, and I hope to have many more in the future.

Michelle is an incredible instructor, one of those instructors that you are pleasantly surprised to find on italki. I completed a package of lessons with Michelle and noticed my Spanish improve noticeably over the course of our conversations. More importantly, her lessons never felt like lessons, they were always very enjoyable conversations. Like any good conversation partner, she is also a very positive and inspirational person who will keep you motivated to study.

Michelle is the best. Her Spanish for Business lessons were a huge help while I was working on a Spanish-language project, helping me to better express myself in a business-appropriate manor and discuss topics less common to everyday conversations. She is very knowledgeable, flexible, and patient.
