A Little About Me
Hello! I’m Miao, a certified Chinese teacher with a passion for helping learners unlock the beauty of Mandarin. I hold a degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) from Shanghai International Studies University and am certified in Putonghua (Level II) and English (TEM-8). My Experience
My teaching journey began in college, where I:
✅ Taught students from Switzerland, Pakistan, and the US in exchange programs.
✅ Worked as a teaching assistant at a bilingual international school.
✅ Conducted online classes for Thai children.

My Teaching Approach

🚀 Flexible Materials: Primarily HSK-based, but I supplement with other resources as needed. The materials I’m using with my students are: HSK, Developing Chinese, New Target Chinese Spoken Language, New Silk Road Business Chinese, videos or contexts from Xiaohongshu, weibo, news and dramas/movies.

Miao has been helping me grow confident in my pinyin pronunciation. She helps by focusing on areas I find difficult and providing extra guidance to improve those areas. We have made progress with each lesson and it encourages me to continue forward!

Belle (Miao) has been very helpful and understanding as I haven't practiced learning new language skills in over a decade. She is very knowledgeable and points out areas to work on while still encouraging me. I would highly recommend her to someone looking to learn Chinese.

We are practicing pinyin pronunciation. We've started to get to some words, but have been working on building a solid foundation. The lesson progression makes a lot of since, and I have a clear understanding on what I should be working on.
