he's just awesome!! I had one of the best conversations ever i feel like :) I was really sad when he told me that he wouldn't be teaching for a while... i'd highly recommend taking french lessons with him!!

Jean-Matthieu is an incredibly patient and kind conversation-practice partner. He is very knowledgeable of a wide range of subjects, and after three sessions I would venture that he is capable of making genuine, interesting conversation about just about anything (so if you want to talk about your niche hobbies or interests, you are in the right place!). I have only good things to say.

Jean-Matthieu has a very calm energy, he speaks clearly and listens to my answers. I really appreciated this lesson and felt like he cared about my goals. I think he is a great French teacher :) I will start my job speaking French tomorrow and I feel much more comfortable now!

This was my first formal French lesson, and Jean-Matthieu made it a great experience. He explained things clearly and kept the pace comfortable, which helped me follow along as a complete beginner. The lesson felt relaxed, like talking to a friend, and I appreciated how he naturally incorporated my interests (like film) into the conversation. I'm looking forward to the next lesson!
