Hello Everyone, My name is Shona. Thanks to a Scottish mother and a German father I grew up bilingually speaking English and German. I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the UK when I was 20 to go to university. I lived there for 10 years before I moved to France 7 years ago. When I arrived in France my level of French was very low. It was enough for "Hello" and "Goodbye". So I started taking classes to learn French. Hallo Alle zusammen, Ich heisse Shona. Ich bin in Deutschland geboren und aufgewachsen und dank einer schottischen Mutter und deutschem Vater bin ich bilingual Deutsch/Englisch. Nach 10 Jahren in Grossbritanien wohne ich jetzt seit 7 Jahren in Frankreich.

Che tipo di insegnante sono

On my quest to learn french I came across italki where I am still a student all these years later. Having learned french as an adult I know exactly which hurdles you face , frustrations you feel but also what fun and satisfying it is to learn a new language. Als ich Frankreich ankam, reichten meine Französischkenntnisse, um gerade “Hallo” und “Auf Wiedersehen” zu sagen, weswegen ich mich entschlossen habe die Sprache richtig zu lernen und Unterricht genommen habe. Dabei habe ich auch italki kennengelernt, wo ich immernoch Unterricht nehme. Ich weiss also genau , wie es sich anfühlen kann, wenn man als Erwachsener eine neue Sprache lernt.
