I have had about 15 lessons with Mutsumi-san. She's a very wonderful teacher. She's a very amazing conversationalist. When I speak with her the focus is on communication and flow rather than on words, rules and grammar. She never pushes me to study harder but by modeling an enthusiastic even beautiful conversational flow, she made me want to study harder and to try different grammatical forms. She has patience but also doesn't let me get stuck and frustrated. In these few lessons she's made me more courageous with what minimal language ability I have. We laugh a lot. We share things important. I'm so lucky to have met such a sensitive guide to Japanese language. I'm so grateful...

My lesson with Mutsumi-sensei was really great. I hadn't spoken Japanese in a long time so I was a bit nervous at first, but Mutsumi-sensei was super encouraging and patient with me. We talked about lots of interesting and fun topics, and I'm looking forward to my next lesson. 😊
