I have been working with Brazilian Portuguese language and Culture since 2013. During my University studies of Portuguese and Latin Language and Literature, I realized how diverse and my mother tongue is, with influences of many languages and cultures.
While teaching, I kept studying, so I got a degree in the studies of Oral Narratives and I developed researches about Brazilian Society and Politics during my Master Studies in Germany. I studied in Coimbra - Portugal as a Erasmus student, which was an opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the language.
Sharing my Knowledge with my students while hearing about their Culture and Language is not just a job, but a learning experience as well.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have taught diplomats from UK, New Zeland, Canada and US, professionals from several continents working in Brazil, students preparing for proficiency tests, international correspondents that hold interviews in Portuguese, and also High School students and language enthusiasts. Therefore, I set specific courses for each student needs, as different people have different goals and will use the language in different contexts. Specific grammar topics will also be designed for each student according to their native tongue.
While talking correctly is important, the student must enjoy the lesson, so we will focus on topics that are important to you and work grammar and cultural topics.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I develop my lessons to focus on communication and we practice key concepts of grammar by using them in daily and realistic conversations or writing exercises. So we will talk a lot, but with some breaks (short ones) to check grammar, pronunciation and other important aspects of the language. Extra homework will be given so the student can practice by her/himself.
I also want to keep students interested by using texts, audios or videos of interesting subjects. For that I take examples of media, so the student will learn through real language examples.

I really enjoyed my class with Tatiana and definitely will be taking more with her. She is really intelligent and very structural in her approach without being boring. My session was almost entirely done in Portuguese to better evaluate and reinforce my listening and speaking ability. English was used only when necessary for explaining grammar or when I didn't quite understand something she said. Uma boa professora sem dúvida.

Great first lesson with Tatiana! I know it can be daunting teaching someone as a complete beginner but Tatiana was very nice and already set out a good plan for future lessons.
