Another great lesson with Hiro Sensei! We had a great conversation and I was able to make some good sentences. I always feel more motivated after our lessons. I recently switched to 30-minute lessons twice a week instead of 1-hour lessons once a week. It has been working great for me, we can actually have a nice conversation in 30 minutes and cover some grammar and vocabulary, it’s the perfect amount of time. I highly recommend Hiro Sensei’s lessons.

Very productive lesson as always. Hiro-san is very well prepared and although lessons are casual, I think they are more structured than lessons with other tutors that I have taken before. My lessons are well balanced, usually with conversation and reading practises. Before lessons, Hiro-san will prepare relevant news article for the reading practise. Last part of a lesson is usually a review session where Hiro-san will correct the mistakes I made during the lesson and document those in a Google Document so it’s easy to revisit and study (sometimes I think Hiro-san put in more effort than me although I am the student!). I have definitely improved ever since taking the lessons with Hiro-san. 日本語を教えてくれてありがとうございます！

Such a great lesson with Hiro Sensei! In his lessons, the first half is usually a free-flowing section where we talk about several different subjects and he is always giving me useful vocabulary and explanations. Then, he goes over a specific grammar point or expression with some materials on the screen, and he has me practice making sentences using that grammar point. I like that he writes examples I can see on the screen while we are talking. His lessons are always very productive and I get a great sense of accomplishment at the end of each session!

I really enjoyed our lesson. Hiro is a fantastic language teacher that's fun to talk to and very knowledgeable. I appreciate that he prepares a variety of conversation topics and study materials to help me get the most out of each lesson, while also giving me plenty of opportunities to practice speaking without feeling too pressured or nervous about making mistakes. I always feel more motivated to study after talking with him, and as always I'm looking forward to next time!

Hiro is a very sweet, lighthearted and, overall? A super chill guy!! Would 100% do this times and times on end. Keep it up, Hiro-sensei!!!

I had a great lesson with Hiro Sensei today! He answered some important questions I had and explained some concepts I was having trouble with. I got to make my own sentences and use some of the grammar I have been learning. I feel that I accomplished a lot in one hour. I am looking forward to the next lesson!
