I’ve completed 4 lessons with Gökben and now I’m ready to write my honest review. 😀 first of all, our classes are interesting and fun. But what’s more important, I feel involved and I gain knowledge every lesson. Gökben is a great teacher. She is very responsible and outgoing. She is my first Turkish teacher and once I had a trial lesson with her I decided that I don’t want to look for anybody else. Our lessons just get better and better and I feel so happy learning Turkish. I am a beginner so I use a lot of English when asking questions. Gökben’s English is great and she is able to answer all of my questions. However, she encourages me to use Turkish ☺️ which is really helpful for me. Moreover, she shares some exclusive Turkish culture things with me, things that I could only know from a native Turkish person. Teşekkür ederim Gökben! ♥️

Today we went over var and yok. Formed sentences of various combinations for practice and also had a casual conversation. The best part about Gökben's lessons is that they are very focused and productive because she makes notes of the student's strengths and weaknesses to plan the future lessons. Gökben, I'm curious to see the notes you made for me :) Thanks for another great lesson :)

Lessons with Gökben continue to be so enjoyable and I can’t believe how much I’m learning! She really is a gifted teacher, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn Turkish.

I’m off to Turkey at the weekend and Gökben has prepared me for any scenario! We have covered conversations in taxis, the butchers, jewellery shopping, wine tastings, making reservations… Even though the Turkish people nearly always speak English, I’m so excited to be able to try out my language skills and have some fun with our Turkish friends :-) Gökben really is an incredible teacher and whatever your reasons for learning Turkish, she truly is the best.

Gökben is the most amazing teacher, I’ve learned so much since beginning lessons with her! Great lesson planning, diverse materials and most importantly she always finds ways to simplify grammatical explanations that may have bugged me all week :D Oh and she also makes me laugh! So grateful to have found such a treasure on Italki.
