Mafe is fantastic. They are very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and always come prepared. They let me know ahead of time what to expect for the next class, give homework, and provide materials to study and practice with. I'm learning a lot and it's fun. Highly recommend.

Mafe is the best! Practicing speaking in the beginning is so intimidating, but Mafe puts you right at ease and creates and environment where it feels okay to try and make mistakes. The lessons are a really nice balance of conversation practice and structured grammar lessons, but I always I feel that I can choose whether I want to focus more on one or the other. Probably most importantly, Mafe is really amazing at meeting me where I am so that I always feel challenged but not completely lost. Plus she is really nice to chat with!

I've had about 3 months of lessons now with Mafe and I've had a great time! I have some familiarity with Spanish but not a lot of time to practice speaking with someone one-on-one and I feel completely comfortable to try new words, ask questions, & mess up in class without judgement. We go with lesson plans but I always have side questions to ask and Mafe is always down to share different tips I should know. Definitely recommend!
