Razan

We continue to work on short narratives I have written about my experiences in Jordan. Razan translates and transliterates my English narratives and then we make an audio recording. She commented that this was a very good way to learn. She even said that my pronunciation had improved.

Razan is very patient and helpful!

Razan can translate English to Arabic and provide meaningful transliterations for me. She continually urges me to try to speak Arabic as much as possible. Her patience and sense of humor make learning Arabic a joy.

Razan did a lot of work translating several paragraphs of my writing to idiomatic Jordanian Arabic and providing transliterations for each sentence. She also encouraged me to read as much as I could in Arabic from each sentence. This was a very helpful lesson in many ways. I always appreciate Razan’s diligence and cheerfulness.

Another fabulous lesson from Razan. She is encouraging me to use Arabic when I can. That’s difficult for me, but helpful. I like how she explains Arabic words and thought forms that are often different than English. I think I am slowly making progress.
