My name is Matthew. I am excited to help you improve your English. Learning a language doesn't have to be boring or overwhelming. The right coach can help a lot!
I was born and raised in New York. I have also lived in Germany, Italy, and now Japan.
I love meeting people and learning languages. This is a big reason I find joy in teaching English. My other interests are soccer, cooking, fitness, and of course some movies / TV series. ⚽ 🏃💨 🍿🎬
Professionally, I have more than 12 years of experience as a TEFL certified English teacher. I have also worked in sales, and as a legal assistant at an intellectual property law firm.

Really enjoyable first lesson! We talked about different topics and discussed my objectives and preferences regarding English classes. Matthew is very friendly and patient. He not only corrects your grammar along the way but also provides you with very detailed notes on your mistakes which allowes you to revise them afterwards.
