As a highly qualified and experienced teacher, I specialize in both Northern and Southern Vietnamese accents.
My lessons are meticulously crafted to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Each session includes a one-hour Zoom/ google meeting, supplemented by Google Docs, audio files, videos, images, and engaging activities to make learning fun and interactive.

If you are a beginner, first I will help to build your foundation with proper Vietnamese pronunciation. After each lesson, you will be sent a revision video and an online flashcard set to solidate your knowledge at home.
If you are an intermediate student, I will send you some of my suggested Vietnamese songs or short movies after class.
Reviewing is part of your homework, and I will check it before every lesson to ensure you remember how to use words and phrases naturally.

My professional training is as a language teacher, and I have also studied various languages on italki with many different teachers--so I feel qualified to say that Cô Thương is quite simply the best on here I have tried. She has the perfect amount of structure in her lessons, she has professional grade materials for students to access, she can teach all levels with skill (I started as a beginner and am now more upper intermediate), and you will be speaking Vietnamese from the start. As always, I had a very interesting lesson with Thuong. I highly recommend her structured lessons to anyone who wants to seriously learn Vietnamese in a relaxed atmosphere. Since I started my classes with her, I can feel that my Vietnamese has improved, and I understand much more than I used to.

Thuong is such an awesome teacher! Since I'm visiting Hanoi, she made sure to focus on teaching me the northern accent. She gives out great study materials so that I can review/study on my own in-between lessons and is always able to answer the questions I have. Thuong is very patient and an all around joy to learn from! 10/10!

If you're serious about learning tiếng Việt, I highly recommend Thương. After only 3 weeks of lessons without prior knowledge, I'm now able to introduce myself, make basic small talk, and even go shopping! Thương is a patient, punctual, and practical teacher who encourages you to nói tiếng Việt for the majority of each lesson, which has really accelerated my learning. Cảm ơn Thương rất nhiều!
