Hi everyone! My name is Sasha. I'm from Philadelphia, PA, USA. I've been teaching English for 4 years both online and in-person. My interests are the following: biking, dancing, running, yummy vegan food, sitting in the grass and spending time with my loved ones. I belief that we can do really wonderful things with our lives, and it's so important important to aid each other in reaching our goals. My objective is to help you reach yours! Olá a todo mundo! Che tipo di insegnante sono

I describe myself as easy-going and free-flowing. I provide a balance of speaking a listening-- it it very important for the teacher to limit their talking time where necessary. I am a firm believer that classes are for the student to express themselves and make mistakes! When you make and learn from them in class, you are equipped to express yourself in the right way when speaking with natives. Eu me considero como uma pessoa aberta. Eu acho importante ter um equilíbrio entre quanto fala o professor e quanto fala o estudante-- o professor deve falar menos! Eu acredito muito que o tempo na aula é para o estudante poder praticar se expressar e cometer erros!

I have two primary styles for teaching: 1. Student-centered open talk: For this kind of class, the focus is practicing student speaking fluency and building confidence when speaking. It is based on general or specific speaking topics, or practicing a specific form. 2. Material-based: For this kind of lesson, the objective is to cover the goal of the material. For example, it could be to practice a grammar point, identify meanings of listening materials, or craft a piece of writing. Types of material include but are not limited to the following: worksheets, readings, songs, articles, videos and more. Eu tenho estilos para as minhas aulas: conversa livre e com materiais.
