I have learned with Fanny weekly for two years now and it’s something I look forward to! She is very patient and makes me feel at ease when I try describing new things or attempt new sentence structure. She has much knowledge of English and Chinese grammar and can easily explain the difference in usage (if that’s what you’re into!). Fanny is able to converse easily about a variety of topics and has helped me immensely learning Chinese!

The class was a mixture of reading, speaking, and listening, and fully in Chinese. We started with a short conversation where Ms. Fanny helped me express myself, then we proceeded with the reading material. The text we're reading is a simplified account of a historical event so it's a history lesson as well. I really liked being able to ask questions about the parts I didn't understand, I pick up a lot about the historical context and also modern applications of words.

Best teacher I've come across for Chinese on iTalki. It's always a pleasure.

I've really loved learning with Fanny! I look forward to every lesson. Even while learning the basics we are able to roam with topics and keep things interesting. Really smart and engaged teacher.

I've had several lessons with Fanny now. She's great. I was starting from zero and I've learned a lot. She's very encouraging and helpful. We break down topics into simpler sentences for me to learn. I also learn a lot about Chinese culture.
