Let me tell you the story about why I wanted to be an italki teacher.
After graduating from university, I went to study abroad in Canada. At that time, I mainly hung out with my Otaku friends in Canada. We had different languages, but the same passion for the same hobbies.
Then I realized that “Learning language makes my life much more fun.” Anime and my Otaku friends motivated me to improve my English skills a lot!

This lesson is recommended for otaku, or big fans of Japanese subcultures, such as anime, comics (manga), or video games. To me, the biggest motivation to study language is what you like, so let’s learn Nihongo while we share our enthusiasm!!

Yuuki is a fantastic teacher! He's interested in a wide range of subjects, so it's easy to have a casual conversation while learning!
In Yuuki's class, you're provided a Google document with the vocabulary you learned and also a transcript of the discussion you had that day! It's a great resource for studying practical Japanese as you make fun and interesting conversation that's relevant to your life!
The vibe is casual but structured-- I appreciate that we speak casually about many topics, but Yuuki makes sure the lesson isn't aimless, so even casual and fun conversations are productive!
Overall, I think Yuuki is a perfect choice for anyone to further their Japanese learning in a way that feels natural!

Yuuki Sensei is awesome! The lesson was conversation guided which is exactly what I need to make my Japanese far more practical. There is a perfect blend between known vocabulary and knew vocabulary. Yuuki Sensei asked my interests and hobbies so that we can use them as a means to use practical Japanese and have real-life conversations. I felt very comfortable using what little Japanese I knew right from the start and Yuuki Sensei never made me feel self-conscious about my skill level and guided me in the correct directions when I needed it. I immediately booked more lessons! I look forward to working with Yuuki Sensei!

This was my first lesson ever and I was pretty panicy but Yuuki was good at getting me relaxed and trying to speak. I will definitely be booking more lessons!

It was a fun introductory class. He was friendly and patient as we reviewed the basics and had an introductory chat and discussed some favorite anime. It was a good way to review what I know and figure out what I need to work on. ありがとうございます
