I am from Canada but I live in the United States. I love music, sports, movies, languages and meeting new friends from all over the world and spending time with family. English is my native language but I speak Spanish, and am a beginner in French and German.
I am TEFL certified and am comfortable teaching beginner to advanced students. I have found that the key to getting past the beginner stage or over the intermediate plateau is to speak more, so that you start to think in English and not have to translate when you are speaking. I have had many language partners in my journey of learning Spanish, so I have a lot of experience helping people learn English and I also have many tips and resources to help you improve. I am a very patient teacher and my lessons are very casual conversations with no pressure to get you speaking and thinking in English quickly.
We can speak about many different topics in our lessons or something specific you want to practice. We could also just talk about things going on in your life. I just want my students to be relaxed and speak freely and not be afraid of making mistakes. I want them to speak so they start to think in English rather than just translating from their native language.Il mio materiale didattico

Rick was a very supportive teacher for me. Every lesson is engaging and time flies with him. He encourages to speak and now I feel definitely more confident with the language. I strongly recommend to start learning English with him.

Rick's classes are always off the charts. Not only is he a friendly and attentive teacher, but he ever goes the extra mile helping me spruce up my English. He really hits it out of the ballpark with his classes!
