Hello! My name is Harry and I am an English teacher from Melbourne, Australia. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English language and literature and an Executive Master of Arts from the University of Melbourne. I have a number of different interests including reading, cinema, photography, cooking and art. I have travelled to 27 different countries and would love to travel more in the future. I also have a deep passion for learning languages and learning about other cultures. I am currently learning Spanish but I have also studied Portuguese, Latin and ancient Greek in the past. I have worked as an English teacher since early 2018 and I have experience teaching both online and in the classroom to students of all ages and levels. Additionally, I am TEFL certified. I can help you to improve your conversation skills, grammatical knowledge, with test or exam preparation and even with school/university work and written applications. I have a number of different resources that can assist you, including worksheets, activities, websites and other tools that can aid in improving your oral and written fluency of English.

I like to provide a relaxed and comfortable learning environment, while always focusing on helping each student to achieve her or his individual goals. I like to focus on conversation because I believe speaking is a fundamental part of any language and I believe that having conversations is a great way to get to know other people and cultures. I am very flexible and like to adapt my lessons to the specific needs of each student as everyone learns differently and at their own pace.

Thanks for the lesson and the interesting conversation as always! The range of our topics helps to practice different vocabulary and improve speaking skills! And it’s also great to get some suggestions of podcasts and other materials.

Harry is a very nice teacher. Friendly and gentle. He asked questions, gave suggestions, and corret my speaking appropriately with explanation. It was a very happy chat with him. I would like to give a five stars and book the next lesson.
