Turkish teacher, filmmaker (BA), and philosophy MA—I blend creativity, critical thinking, and language mastery. My lessons? A lively mix of grammar-in-context, tailored readings, and cultural insights from my travels to 15+ countries. Let’s make Turkish feel alive, not just academic! I studied BA in film directing in Istanbul and obtained my MA from a Philosophy and Social Thought program. I use a Turkish language course book and a reading book for all levels. I also have a book with explanations in English. Priority is speaking the language right by not getting bored with grammar. After a trial lesson, I diagnose the level and offer a personal program. Turkish is my mother tongue and I was always good at Turkish Grammar and literature and helping my classmates. I enjoy teaching and always get good feedback. I feel responsible for myself and for the people I'm facing. It has been already more than 6 months since I started learning Turkish with Cem. It is really a big pleasure! I see how much my level of language improved thanks to his amazing methods. Cem is very knowledgeable, as well as able to explain complex topics in a simple and easy to understand manner. Cem is always well prepared and provides useful materials to help get the most out of his lessons in intermediate Turkish. His English is excellent and he is able to explain vocabulary and grammatical concepts with ease. He clearly has extensive experience and is well trained.
