Hello everyone! My name is Andre. I’m 32 years old. I was born and raised in New York City.
Currently, I live between the United States and Playa del Carmen, Mexico. 🇺🇸🇲🇽
My hobbies include reading 📚, watching all sorts of movies (old and new)🎞, playing basketball 🏀, exploring nature🌳 🌴, nutrition🍎🍌, and a whole lot more! 🏄

I am very motivating, fun, and above all patient.
I want to help the student achieve their goals in an entertaining, interesting and relaxing way.
I believe students also need to challenge themselves. I work with students to find materials that are just above their level. I want to give you confidence to try using more nuanced language and advanced tenses.
I make sure to focus on difficulties that my students are having instead of quickly proceeding onward. I want to make sure a solid foundation is built before rushing ahead.
I love to focus on real spoken English (reductions, idioms, popular slang, etc).

My first lesson will always have the aim of understanding:
(a) what your level is
(b) what your general interests are
(c) what your goals are in English
(d) how you generally like to learn
I adapt and plan lessons for you. I try to strike a happy balance between serious lessons and fun lessons, however if you desire one or the other exclusively we can certainly go in that direction.
In our serious lessons we will learn grammar. That doesn't mean that it has to be rote! We will construct engaging dialogues and stories with our newly learned concepts.
For fun lessons, we will be reading all your favorite materials in English, describing pictures and incorporating real world media.Il mio materiale didattico

My first class with Andre was just perfect. He creates the perfect environment to learn.
After many classes on Italki, this was my best experience.
We had a relaxed conversation where we focused on my needs, detailed a plan and practiced with some examples.

Andre is an excellent teacher, I do think that during this weeks I have learned way more vocabulary, Phrasal verbs and the use of other words than before.
