Hi! My name is Giulia and I am a professional Italian language teacher for foreigners.
I come from the South of Italy, exactly from Lecce, a beautiful and pictoresque town close to the beach. I started teaching Italian a few years ago, while I was studying at the University for Foreigners of Siena, where I graduated in Linguistics and Teaching Italian as a second/foreign language.
The University for Foreigners of Siena gave me the opportunity work as a teacher abroad. I had the chance to work in Canberra (Australia), in Córdoba (Argentina) and in the United States, in Miami!
I love teaching Italian but also I love learning new languages: I cam speak English, Spanish and some French!Che tipo di insegnante sono
Cerco sempre di capire bisogni e interessi dei miei studenti prima di creare un piano di lezioni e dò molta importanza all'uso della lingua, sia parlata che scritta.
Amo condividere la mia cultura e capire meglio tutte le altre culture.
I always try to understand my students's needs and interests before to create a lesson plan and I give a lot of importance to the use of the language, both oral and written.

Cerco di portare sin da subito lo studente all'uso della lingua italiana, partendo dalle basi. Organizzo le mie lezioni sia con materiali didattici professionali, sia con articoli di giornale, canzoni, film, e così via. Dò la stessa importanze sia alla pratica delle competenze comunicative che alla grammatica, perché ognuna ha bisogno dell'altra.
I try to make the student speak Italian as soon as possible, starting from the beginning. I organize my classes both with professional materials and with songs, news, movies and so on. I think that grammar and comunication skills are equally important because both depend on each other.Il mio materiale didattico

Giulia is an amazing teacher!
I started taking weekly Italian lessons with Giulia in November 2021, when I had a very very small understanding of the language but was eager to become fluent.
My experience with Giulia was so positive that we keep on having weekly lessons, 34 months later.
Giulia always comes very well prepared to the classes, which are well planned and structured, but she is also flexible enough to adapt to the student preferences or to how the student responds to the contents of each lesson.
She also brings very interesting topics and discussions to the class, while also leaving space for the students to contribute and express their preferences.
Over this period not only I became fluent in italian but I also learnt a lot about Italy and the Italian culture, music and people through the experience of a local.
I would really recommend Giulia if you are looking for a calm, friendly and very competent Italian teacher.

La scelta dell'insegnante
I've enjoyed several lessons with Giulia. My weakest skill is listening and I like that Giulia stays focused on speaking in Italian throughout the lesson even though it can challenging for me. She has a lot of patience. I encourage you to give her an opportunity to help you learn this beautiful language.

La clase de prueba con Giulia fue muy buena. Enseguida comprendio mis objetivos y me senti muy comoda. Me facilita mucho que habla español. Aparte me gusto su estilo. Vamos a avanzar con clases semanales.
