My name is Hiroya Mizoguchi. 38 years old and from Nagoya, Japan Now I live in Fukuoka Prefecture I used to live In Australia and Canada for 3 years in total I have been teaching at Italki for over 6 years I like exercise, nature, delicious foods, traveling, learning foreign languages and cultures, Anime, Movies, Onsen ♨, Cherry blossom 🌸 and hanging out with my friends! I also recently started BJJ! it's fun! I am often described by my students as a very easy to talk to teacher. I have had a lot of students take my classes. I have had many students take my classes, and they often say that I am easy to talk to. I myself am interested in new things, different people's ways of thinking, different things, and different cultures, so I love to listen to what people have to say. So, if you are not good at speaking and want to become good at it, I think a teacher like me is right for you. Do you enjoy speaking in Japanese? Do you worry about what you say or what mistakes you make when you speak? If so, you should try my lessons! When I was living in Australia and Canada before, I had this experience when speaking English with native speakers. So I understand how people who are studying Japanese and have this kind of problem feel. I would like to find lessons that can help you and lessons that are right for you. I hope I can help you feel more confident when you come to Japan or when you talk to Japanese people!

Hiroya-sensei is exactly the kind of teacher I was hoping to choose for my primary goal of having someone to listen to me speak Japanese and converse with me on an adult level. He is charming, fun, a great listener, and an excellent conversationalist, just the ticket for me!

It was exactly what I wanted. Just conversation practice where I got to fully converse in Japanese. He helped me whenever I made mistakes when speaking and taught me new words all while only speaking Japanese. Just what I was looking for.

Talking to Hiroya was very enjoyable as his personality and demanour is very friendly, making him easy to talk to. Not only was I very comfortable, but he also corrected me where necessary in a respectful way. Would love to have a lesson with him again and would easily recommend him to others!
