I am a British native speaker and moved back to the UK a few years ago after living, studying and teaching for many years in several countries.
I love travelling and teaching English. I have had a lot of experience of living abroad and understand how hard it can be to learn another language. I was born and brought up in the UK, but I have lived and been a foreign language student, in Denmark, Russia, Poland and Spain. I also lived for a long time in the USA.
I have a first class honours degree in Fine Art, love road trips, hiking and camping and enjoy sharing experiences and stories with the people I meet from all over the world.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I am a professional, highly qualified English language teacher with both CELTA and DELTA qualifications and many years of extensive English teaching experience. I have taught a wide range of language learners of all levels and nationalities, privately, in schools and universities, in companies, summer camps and one-to-one.
I have been a Cambridge oral examiner and have taught FCE, CAE and CPE with excellent exam results. I was also an Assistant Director of Studies in Poland, where I provided support, training and observation of teachers. I want to help you improve your CONFIDENCE and FLUENCY. The best part of my job is seeing you achieve your goals and progress in lessons that are enjoyable and focused on your needs.
In our first lesson, we will spend time talking about your goals. We will talk about what you would like to learn and improve and why you need or want to improve your English. Then together, we will work towards those goals in lessons that are designed around your individual, specific needs.
Every student is different, so our lessons can be structured in different ways but will always contain a lot of speaking practice and will focus on both fluency and accuracy.Il mio materiale didattico

Helen is a great teacher and a very nice person! We practised speaking, job interviews, IELTS writing. I received a lot of feedback, advice and materials to improve my knowledge both as homework and in my spare time. Extremely supportive, always prepared and flexible to adjust lessons to meet different needs. It was a pleasure, and I'll definitely continue to work with Helen!

Helen is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She’s genuinely nice, very open and intelligent. She is supporting and has lots of ideas how to move forward and improve whatever your goals are. She helped me to pass my IELTS and also with my university application. I can highly recommend her!

I've been preparing for CPE for more than 2 months with Helen, and I must say she is THE BEST teacher ever! She always listens to what you need and what your goal is, no faffing around! We just do the tasks I need to achieve my goal. I'm sure, if I do well in my exam, it will be thanks to my teacher! I will 100% recommend Helen to everybody! I'm dead set on preparing for IELTS with Helen!

Seit ich mit Helen lerne, habe ich eine bemerkenswerte Verbesserung meiner Englischkenntnisse festgestellt. Ihre professionelle Herangehensweise und ihre effektiven Lehrmethoden haben es mir ermöglicht, mich in kürzester Zeit sowohl mündlich als auch schriftlich zu verbessern.
Helen zeichnet sich durch ihre Geduld, ihre klare Erklärungen und ihre motivierende Art aus. Sie geht individuell auf meine Lernziele ein und passt den Unterricht entsprechend meinen Bedürfnissen an, was ich sehr schätze.
Darüber hinaus schafft Helen eine positive Lernumgebung, in der ich mich frei fühle, Fragen zu stellen und meine Sprachkenntnisse zu vertiefen. Ihre freundliche und unterstützende Art macht den Unterricht nicht nur lehrreich, sondern auch angenehm und motivierend.
