I am a qualified English language teacher (CertTESOL, MSc Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching from the University of Oxford). I have 8 years of professional experience working online for myself, language schools, and the University of Manchester.
I am passionate about helping people improve their language skills and find their own voice in English in a supportive, patient, environment.

As a teacher, I prioritise creating a supportive, patient, environment for learning. I am here to encourage and help you in your language learning journey, as I know what a long and challenging process it can be!
Two other features that characterise me as a teacher are related to my academic background. With a BSc in Anthropology, I am passionate about learning about different cultures and sharing my own knowledge about British culture. My recently completed MSc in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching has also helped bring me up to date with the latest academic research in the field of second language acquisition, and apply this knowledge in my own teaching.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
It is very important to me to create a very interactive environment, where you are the one doing most of the speaking. I also like to create a relaxed, supportive environment for classes where we embrace mistakes as part of the learning process, rather than something to fear!
My teaching style is based on creating highly personalised, student-centred classes, respecting your goals, interests, and needs. I believe that we learn best when we focus on subject matter that is relevant and engaging for us, and I like to give you the opportunity to shape our class focus and style as much as possible.Il mio materiale didattico

Researcher and translatorI worked as a researcher and translator at the Universidad de Granada, within the EU H2020 project PERCEPTIONS. The project researched how migrants or potential migrants see Europe, and involved interviews, focus groups, and surveys with migrants and first-line practitioners.

Benen is the best teacher<3 she is super patient and makes you feel safe, you can talk to her about everything. Her way of explaining and the material she has to clarify any doubts is very didactic and easy to understand! It has helped me a lot to gain confidence and to clarify many doubts that despite having a good level I didn't quite understand:) thank you Benen can’t wait to see you again!!

I’ve been taking lessons with Benen for several months now, and every class has been absolutely fantastic. We’ve been focusing mainly on pronunciation, and thanks to her excellent materials and guidance, I’ve made significant progress. She’s incredibly kind, always well-prepared, and creates a warm, encouraging atmosphere. I really appreciate how much effort she puts into every lesson, and I always look forward to our time together. Highly recommended!
