Having been raised in a bilingual environment, I not only speak English and Korean fluently, but I also have first-hand knowledge of both American and Korean cultures. I love meeting students from around the world and learning about their history and background. It's one of my favorite parts about my job!
As an English and Korean instructor, I find it very rewarding to help students improve their language skills and see them achieve their goals. This is something I'm passionate about and have been doing for many years.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I want to help my students communicate in their target language as quickly as possible. I encourage my students to spend a lot of time speaking during class to increase their fluidity and confidence. During class, I can pinpoint your weak areas and help you improve in those areas through focused practice and production.
Aside from general English skills, I also specialize in Accent Reduction, Business English, IELTS and TOEFL.
For students learning Korean, I can help you feel more confident speaking Korean and better understand the nuances of the language. I'm also happy to share my insight into the culture and help you learn the language through songs, TV shows, and movies.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
Every lesson will be tailored to your goals and needs. Depending on your level, I'll be happy to make recommendations for textbooks, online resources, news articles, YouTube videos and podcasts. I thrive on creating a comfortable and productive environment that is conducive to learning in which you can learn quickly but also have plenty of fun!
I'll always provide both oral and written feedback during and after class as well as give you ideas for individual practice that you can work on when you're not in class.

Jihyun is the most awesome teacher I've ever met. She understood why I needed a tutor and identified which areas to focus on and practice. We discussed potential interview questions and practiced them together. She is genuinely supportive and encouraging, and I really appreciate her help. I highly recommend J to anyone preparing for business or job interviews.

I have been taking lessons with Jihyun for close to two months now and my opinions have only improved. She is extremely patient, motivating, supportive, and organized! Lessons are an absolute joy ,and she is quick with assigning and assessing homework assignments week by week. Could not recommend enough taking lessons with Jihyun enough, one of the best tutors one could have!

It's been a year and a half since I started to take lessons with Jihyun 선생님 in Korean, and thanks to her, I progressed so much! We are currently studying the TOPIK II exam together, and I'm so happy to have her by my side to achieve this challenge!
