I am the youngest of four children in a large family. I lived in Alabama in the southeastern part of the United States. My passions are languages and sharing with people from all over the world. I love to read, watch movies, cook, travel, and cuddle with my pets.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I am a public school teacher in the U.S. I've been in the classroom helping children, teens, and even adults with language learning for over 20 years. I've taught adult students from over 30 countries. It's fun to help people with language learning, academic support, and conversation improvement. I have a PhD in Education.
I teach:
- vocabulary for social and academic language
- listening and speaking skills for social and academic language
- grammar & syntax from beginning to advanced

This is an English conversation practice class for all levels. We will talk about anything you want. My goal is to listen and offer corrections. You are welcome to bring your own materials to class.
We can proceed at your pace to reach your specific goals; if your goals change, you are welcome to discuss them with me.

Dr. Emily is a very kind and attentive teacher. She understands her students' goals and tailors her lessons accordingly. She is punctual, and her classes are highly valuable. In just one session, I learned a lot about pronunciation, which speaks to the quality of her teaching

Dr. Emily es una profesora de inglés excepcional. Es muy comprometida, paciente y disciplinada. Su forma de enseñar es única, natural y extremadamente efectiva.

Ahora no soy yo quien busca el inglés, sino el inglés que viene hacia mí. El inglés no debe ser una obligación, una carga o un problema, sino una herramienta para alcanzar nuestros objetivos. Gracias a Dr. Emily, ahora puedo usar el inglés para hablar sobre mi propia vida, con mis propias reglas, ritmo y en los momentos correctos; esa es la gran diferencia entre el “inglés académico” que aprendí con mis 20 profesores anteriores y el “inglés real” que estoy aprendiendo con ella.

Dr. Emily is a great person and an amazing Inglish teacher.
She has a lot of commitment and passion for teaching. After having meet with 15-17 different teachers, I can say that she is an exceptional teacher who strives for excellence in every class of her teaching system.
