Hi everybody! This is Josué, from Burgos, from Castilla, the place where my language was born. I can fully understand how difficult (and sometimes frustrating) it is to learn a new language. I've been learning English for quite a few years. But don't give up! In my experience, the most important thing to learn a new language is TO PRACTICE! Don't get me wrong. Studying grammar is vital. However, I know many people who have spent years studying, but not much time practicing. The outcome? Lack of confidence, lack of fluency. Don't fall into the same trap. Let's practice together! Gain confidence, speak fluently, and, why not, have fun! ¿Qué te parece? ¿Hablamos? Espero verte por aquí, ¿vale? I try my best to adapt to the level and skills of the student. Though this can sound scary, especially for beginners, my priority is to talk and converse in Spanish. You can, and will, make mistakes. No worries. That's the best way to learn. Si sabes reírte de ti mismo, ya tienes andado la mitad del camino para aprender un nuevo idioma. The lessons are conversational. Let's see first what your level is. Let's see then what your goals are. Then, we will choose a topic that fits your needs, and we'll speak about it. Simple, right?

I've been looking for a while for Spanish classes that fit my life but that are also fun and motivating. I'm so happy to have found Josué. The class was super interesting, really fun and I left feeling so motivated. Speaking Spanish has always been the hardest bit of studying for me but I felt super comfortable waffling and making mistakes with Josué. Can't wait for my next class!

Another amazing conversation! Our time together really flies by! I enjoy being able to talk about a chosen topic as well as having the ability to digress to other interesting topics. The conversation flow is natural and Josué creates an atmosphere that allows me to feel comfortable making errors in vocabulary and grammar. This is so much more effective than doing grammar exercises or sitting in a classroom listening to a lecture in Spanish. I recommend anyone who wants to get serious about learning Spanish to leave your "editor's hat" off and just try to speak with whatever words and grammar you already know without fear of making mistakes. Josué is the perfect guide to help you gain that confidence which will allow you to improve your Spanish in a fun and natural way.

I have been having italki lessons with Josué for several months and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is really patient has a great sense of humour and always tailors the conversation to themes you are interested in. He is excellent at providing you with authentic Spanish sayings and also often send you interesting links to articles, videos and podcasts in Spanish that reflect your interests. And best of all when I recently visited Spain I found that I was much more confident in conversing with locals after my lessons with Josué. A real gem of a teacher.

After a few months of 1/2 hour lessons I actually managed a full hour! Could never have come so far without Josué's support and encouragement! 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a tutor!
