Originally from Oakland, California, I am a former professional marathon runner with a decade of competitive experience, including eight marathon victories. My international background includes extended residencies in Japan and China, where I worked as an English instructor. I am conversationally fluent in both Japanese and Chinese, reflecting my deep appreciation for these languages and cultures. Beyond athletics, I am a passionate music enthusiast with extensive concert-going experience. My lessons are very active and fun. There is always much participation and it is very enjoyable. There is repetition and some questions so there is a lot of speaking practice and practice makes perfect.
