I teach children and adults, one-on-one or in small groups, via general or customized lessons:
While engaging you in conversation, we'll practice vocabulary and phrases, I'll adjust your tones, improve your pronunciation, point out your grammar mistakes, show you how to write han-zi, give you assignments to complete, gradually but surely you'll gain confidence to communicate with people in daily life, while traveling, at work or when you take an exam.
I can guide you to read literature, philosophy or history in modern/classical Chinese.
I can also teach you to transcribe audio, draft, edit, translate, proofread texts in English/Chinese for publication on your blog, website, social media.Il mio materiale didattico

Brilliant teacher, He prepares his own interesting material for each lesson and manages to teach the entire lesson using only Chinese, which requires both patience and creativity. He also asks questions at regular intervals and sends all new words learnt, as well as his own homework. He is friendly and fun to talk to, so I enjoy every lesson. I highly recommend him!

Jackie is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend him to other students. I've taken classes with him for close to a year now, using a history textbook for reading and writing, and general conversation for speaking practice. I've been very happy with his teaching style: Jackie goes out of his way to find interesting material, is proactive about testing understanding of new concepts and content we cover, and is good at providing clear explanations and examples. He has a professional but relaxed attitude and clearly cares about his work7. Thank you Jackie!

I was initially very excited to study with Jackie, as he seemed knowledgeable and came well-prepared for our lesson. However, during our class, he was outside and connected through his phone, which resulted in poor internet quality and persistent communication issues. We had to switch from italki to a WhatsApp video call, and eventually to a voice call. Unfortunately, this made the experience feel unprofessional and left me quite disappointed.

Jackie老师 is a wonderful teacher. He is very patient and encouraging, and works at the pace of the student. I found myself more confident in speaking at just the second lesson.
